Prof. Alahari P Aparao

Prof. Paparao is former Chairperson, Dept. of Anthropology, Sri Venkateshwara university. He did his Master’s and Ph.D. in Anthropology from Sri Venkateshwara University, Tirupati. Later, he joined the department as Lecturer in Physical Anthropology and Prehistoric Archaeology and went on to become a Professor in the same institution. He has more than three decades of teaching experience and shouldered up several administrative responsibilities that include Chairman, Board of Studies, Coordinator, UGC SAP, Principal of SV University of College of Sciences, Convenor of AP Law Centre, and OSD to Vice Chancellor. His distinguished career brought him many awards and international assignments. To name just a few: Andhra Pradesh meritorious Teacher Award, Dr Panchana Mitra Lectureship Award, Asiatic Society, Kolkata, and UGC Emeritus Fellowship. He is recently nominated for five years to IGRMS, Ministry of Culture, Government of India. He was nominated as expert to various committees of UGC. He has published several research papers in national and international journals, attended and organized several national and international conferences. He has undertaken several international academic assignments to Canada, UK, USA, UAE, Singapore, and Malaysia.
