Prof. M.R. Gangadhar

Prof. Gangadhar, is currently Professor and Chairman of the Department of Anthropology at University of Mysore, Mysuru. He was the former Director - EMRC, University of Mysore. He did his M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Anthropology from the University of Mysore. His research interests centre on Tribal Health and Nutrition, Occupational Health, Community Genetics, etc. He has given invited talks on Applied Biological Anthropology. He is author of the book Schedule Caste Population and Co-author of six books. He has published one hundred and thirty research papers. He has organized seminars and Conferences and participated and presented more than fifty papers in National and International seminars and also Chaired several sessions. Prof. Gangadhar has completed eight major research projects and is a member of many anthropological organisations and committees. He is also on the editorial board of several prominent Journals.
