Prof. Anjali Kurane

Professor Anjali Kurane is currently the Dean of Faculty of Humanities, and Senior Professor of Anthropology, at Savitribai Phule Pune University, Pune. She is a Socio-Cultural Anthropologist, with over 30 years of teaching experience, 32 years of research experience and 16 years of administrative experience as Head of the Department, as Director of Interdisciplinary Studies in Humanities and Social Sciences, as Coordinator for Social Sciences and Humanities and as Dean of Faculty of Humanities, as also member of the various statutory Authorities of the University. She has exceptional potential for multi-tasking and has managed various responsibilities entrusted to her from time to time with aplomb. Prof Anjali Kurane is working with Tribal Research and Training Institute, Tribal Development Department, Government of Maharashtra as member of the Governing Body. She is founder member of autonomous TRTI, and also member of its research and advisory committee. Prof. Kurane received two awards and recognitions at international levels as Staff Fellow to Oxford Brookes University, Oxford, UK. and to Ghent University, Belgium.
